It's Been A While

So I have to be honest, I am in love with blogs, I look at everyone elses all the time, but I'm not very good at my own. Not because I don't like doing it, I just don't know how to work it! I want to try and post a picture and it doesn't go where I want. I want to post a video and I spend two hours trying to figure out how to do that. Even headings say "link 2", "link 4", and so on and so on. Christmas isn't always joyful...there are some scrooges out there and I am one today. Trying to figure out just exactly how to blog, post pictures, post my favorite thing, ect., ect. So, stay tuned, it may be another 6 months before I blog, but this will forever and always be Tiffany's Blog spot!

It is a Wonderful Life! :)

Just Call Me Elf!

Hey Everyone!

So I got a Christmas job!! The General Store in Minnetonka! If you've never been, you HAVE to go. It is the ultimate Christmas shopping experience. So far I've worked two days there and I am still overwhelmed with all the stuff they have and just in awww of it all. I LOVE IT! Next Friday I get to start personalizing ornaments. It's just so great. Everyone who comes to the General Store is in a great mood, the people who work there are so friendly and nice, and honestly it feels like I'm working in Santa's workshop. It's everything Christmas and MORE. It just fills my heart with smiles. I hope you can come visit me this season! However, there is danger in wanting to buy everything I see, so I learned after the 1st day to leave my checkbook at home and when I see something I really want, if I keep thinking about it for a few weeks, THEN I'll buy it. I already have one thing in mind, if I get it I will be sure to post pictures! Hope you all are getting into the holiday spirit! Please, come visit me at Santa's Workshop!

Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It's off to work I go!

Hi everyone, or my two followers...So today I made the decision to get a weekend job! Just for the Christmas season. You see, I love my current job, however, I LOVE all the Christmas hustle and bustle and want to be a part of it! I figure since me and my husband are currently trying to save every penny, there will not be much Christmas shopping this year. So, how to get my fix?! Work at a great Christmas store! This way, I'm making extra money, getting a discount on stuff, and surrounding myself with the chaos of Christmas! Over my lunch hour today I went to the General Store in Minnetonka and applied, but my heart I feel is set on Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware. I called both places to see if they were hiring seasonal workers and Pottery Barn was, but only for overnight and weekend stockers...Boo to that. But Restoration Hardware is! So, that's where I'm going on my lunch tomorrow. My thoughts behind this, is one, I don't have a house, so I won't want to buy anything this year, but next year I would work there again, and get a discount and buy things for my new house! Wherever that may be...So we will see! Wish me luck! If I don't get the job there, then I'll settle for the General Store, it's definitely got the hustle and bustle and is probably the most Christmasy of them all! Stay tuned!

A Christmas Story

Looking back on my childhood, Christmas was always so memorable.  Of course the excitement of Santa coming was always a thrill (as it is for most children), but my favorite part of Christmas was (and still is) going to church on Christmas Eve night.  For the past 28 years me and my parents would go to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, in Mound, Minnesota, my hometown. It still amazes me how every year the entire church becomes so full, that people have to stand against the back wall, just to listen to the gospel that night, and sing the BEAUTIFUL Christmas music!  OH how I LOVE Christmas music!  I have a horrible voice, but I can promise you on that night, I sing my heart out (consider this your warning if you are ever sitting next to me in the pew).  As a child, I remember looking at all the other little girls and seeing what pretty Christmas dresses they were wearing.  It was so fun, because in the massive crowds I would still find friends from school and I loved that they were at church celebrating Christmas with me.  Everyone who loved Christmas and loved Jesus were together, for one hour, one night and that still just makes me feel so lucky!  All in all, the warmest feeling I get during the Christmas season is that one hour on Christmas Eve.  Every year the congregation ends with "Joy to the World" and I can't wait till 364 days when I can be back!  With that being said, I'm officially ending my first Christmas blog!  I promise you more to come!
